Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Lyforge ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lyforge is a life-planning application. It helps you plan across the areas of your life, run a daily routine, review your progress, and think through decisions. Paid plans add the Life Map, Life Clock, Protocol, Odds, Council, Rituals and a calendar link. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized content from what you enter.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant Lyforge a license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are responsible for the content you provide and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate life plans and task recommendations. While we strive for quality and relevance:

• AI-generated content is provided "as is" without warranties
• You are responsible for evaluating and acting on AI recommendations
• Lyforge is not responsible for decisions made based on AI suggestions
• AI content should not replace professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.)

Odds are estimates, not promises. Goal probabilities are statistical estimates from your own data and stated assumptions. They can be wrong, and they do not guarantee any outcome.

Council advisors are simulations. Each advisor is an AI simulation of a documented way of thinking, written by Lyforge from public sources. Advisors are not the people they are modeled on, do not speak for them, and those people (or their estates) have not endorsed, sponsored or reviewed Lyforge. Advisors never quote real people unless a quotation is marked and sourced.

Statistical references, such as life expectancy, come from published population data. They describe populations, not you.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful code or malware
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service

7. Subscription and Payments

Lyforge offers both free and paid subscription tiers. For paid subscriptions:

• Payments are processed by Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You can cancel anytime from the Plans page (Manage My Subscription); you keep access until the end of the period you paid for
• Deleting your account (Settings) cancels any subscription first
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Lyforge and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Lyforge does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
• Violates applicable law

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lyforge operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
